The recent deployment of 4 outdoor weather-proof Flasma units recieved great attention on the major digital signage news outlets. The installation commisioned by Artwise Curators Ltd and with planning permission from Westminter council was the first installation of screens into the pavement in the world. It was also the first to use HD LCD displays to show art in a permanent cideo installation and can be seen outside the newly refurbished Howick Place in London. In no particular order:
"It is only right that this new digital medium be used not only for creating iconic media installations, but exciting and innovative art as well."
"Fragile is played across a set of Flasma 42” Sunlight Readable LCD Screens embedded into the pavement and we are told that this is the first ever outdoor installation of Flasma floor-mounted LCD screens in the world."
