The White Lion pub in Buckley, North Wales, has seen its profits increase by 15% within 4 weeks of installing a 42” weatherproof flat panel LCD screen from SANYO.
The screen has been installed in the pub’s outdoor area and regularly entertains maximum capacity crowds, ensuring healthy revenue for the pub despite the introduction of the smoking ban in Wales on 2 April. The installation of the SANYO screen followed a recent internal and external refurbishment of the pub, which encouraged more outside socialising in the summer last year. Conscious of the impact the smoking ban would have on his customers, the landlord of the White Lion, Brian Wall, wanted to offer smokers the same levels of hospitality and entertainment that they had been used to when drinking inside, for example watching football or participating in themed race nights.
